Our vision at Gardner Domestic Violence Task Force is to create a world where everyone has access to the support services they need to thrive. We believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy and fulfilling life, and we are committed to working towards this goal every day.
At Gardner Domestic Violence Task Force, we take a holistic approach to community support. We believe that in order to truly support individuals and families, we must address all aspects of their lives, including physical health, mental health, and social support.
We work closely with a variety of community partners to ensure that we are meeting the needs of everyone in our community. Our partnerships include local schools, healthcare providers, and other community organizations.
The Gardner Domestic Violence Task Force is funded by a grant awarded to the City of Gardner by the Department of Housing and Urban Development through the MA Department of Housing and Community Development CDBG Grant FOR 2020 given to Voices of Truth for this project.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a team of community members, survivors, and representatives from local and county agencies working together in preventing intimate partner violence since 2018.
Whether you donate monetarily, we are always in need of filling back packs for children and mothers who need to leave or when a police officer visits the home. Looking for widgets, blankets, stuff animals, coloring books and crayons, anything we can fit into a bag that will provide fun to lower the level of anxiety. For the mothers, hygiene products, journal, book, anything that will provide some comfort.
