OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

DOWNTOWN GARDNER PURPLE LIGHTS

During the month of October, the Gardner downtown businesses put a purple light in their display windows as a message to the victims and survivors showing their support.

A time to honor our victims and support our survivors.  Quest speakers from members, law enforcement, City officials.  Purple lights will be given out to keep

Visit us at the Community Health Fair sponsored by the Senior Center at Waterford Street School

October 6th @ 7:00 PM

For anyone who has experienced domestic violence or is currently experiencing this.  This is an opportunity to awaken your spirituality.  A needed part of our strength to go.  Without faith there is no HOPE!

YWCA EMPTY TABLE DISPLAY

 The Empty Place at the Table is a symbol to represent those who have tragically lost their lives to domestic violence.  This will be displayed at various times in the City of Gardner.


Volunteer Opportunities

Become a volunteer with Gardner Domestic Violence Task Force and make a difference in the lives of families in need. We offer a variety of opportunities to get involved and give back to your community.

GDVTF PROJECT CONTRIBUTIONS

The Gardner Domestic Violence Task Force has various projects that are part of breaking the silence of abuse.  We promote healthy relationships during the holiday times.  Prepare backpacks for the Police officers when children are present.  We are currently working on 911 phones.  Purple light campaign for Downtown Gardner and much more
